Basic Technical Mathematics is intended for the Technical Mathematics course that does not include calculus. This is the first text of its kind to utilize the graphing calculator through OPTIONAL boxes found throughout. The text addresses the recent technological advances that are making their mark On the mathematics classroom. The book features a wide range of up-to-date Applied problems in technical areas and the business world that make mathematics interesting and meaningful. Use of the graphing calculator is integrated in the text and is presented as a tool which does not detract from text content and can be omitted by the instructor if desired. The second edition boasts new applications in the areas of business and finance; the placement of trigonometric concepts before radian measure; enhanced material on significant digits; and approximate numbers.
