The writer takes pleasure in acknowledging'his appreciation of the encouragment and assistance he has received from.certain inp dividuals without which it would have been impossible for him.to have carried on this investigation. He first wishes to record his indebt edness to Dr. Jesse B. Davis, Dean of the School of Education, Boston University, and to mr. Herbert Saul, Vocational Counselor of the Huntington Avenue Branch of the Boston young men's Christian Associa tion, both of whom.suggested the general theme of the study. Much appreciation is also expressed for the fine cooperation he always received from hr. Thomas n. Harris, Supervisor of the National Youth administration.job Counseling Project, Boston Y. M. C.
