Harrelson is University Professor of Hebrew Bible at Wake Forest University Divinity School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Distinguished Professor of Old Testament Emeritus at Vanderbilt University Divinity School. He is the author of numerous books and articles including The Ten Commandments and Human Rights.
