Its purpose is to state condi tions of classification, rules governing examinations and courses of study, and to indicate briefly the amount and character of work re quired in each subject. It is hoped that high school officers, super intendents, principals and teachers will give this manual careful con sideration and conform the work of the schools under their charge to this manual, which will supersede all other circulars and letters of instruction from the high school board.
