This is an introduction to statistical methods for analysing data collected in psychology and related sciences. Written with unusual clarity and with non-specialists in mind, it presents tests which are based on ranking techniques, explaining the theory behind them and illustrating their use with complete worked examples based on real data from a wide range of disciplines. The presentation moves systematically from simple designs through to complex problems typical of research applications. The book concludes with an extensive set of tables, many of which are not available elsewhere.
