Lane Sloan spent over 29 years with Shell Oil Company with half that time was in senior executive positions including Vice President Corporate Planning, CFO, Regional Coordinator Far East & Australasia (Royal Dutch Shell), Director East Zone Oil Products (Royal Dutch Shell), and President Shell Chemical Company. He was also the Executive Vice President of SAIC’s energy practice and CEO of Grand Basin. He taught Corporate Strategy and Strategic Leadership courses at the University of Houston as an Executive Professor for over five years. During that time, Lane was Executive Director of the Global Energy Management Institute and also taught energy courses. He and Christopher Ross authored Terra Incognita: A Navigation Aid for Energy Leaders, published in 2007. Lane co-chairs the Energy Collaborative Committee of the Greater Houston Partnership. Lane has been a Silver Fox Advisor for over a decade and is President of Sloan Consulting Services, Inc., mentoring companies of all sizes. He serves on a number of boards including the Houston Technology Center, a business accelerator assisting entrepreneurs and emerging companies. Lane is Chairman of Link2, LLC. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS in Business and an MS in Management Science in 1970. Later, Lane received an MS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from the University of Houston.
