Libby Barnes Carson is a mom, wife, life coach and writer – pretty much in that order these days. She has never before felt so truly balanced, passionate, authentic and fulfilled as she does now - but it hasn’t always been that way. Over the past twenty years Libby has gone through a lot of personal growth and transformation to find a life she truly loves. What has always been the same, though, has been Libby’s passion for two things: creativity and helping others. At James Madison University, Libby received a B.A. in Psychology and English and then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Counseling form the University of Virginia. She spent several years in the counseling profession working with families in the school system and she also performed in local theater at night. In 1998, Libby moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time. Although she loved her experiences in the entertainment industry, Libby missed the helping profession and making a difference in other people’s lives. So in 2009, Libby became a certified life coach through the ICF-accredited Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Now she continues being creative through writing – she just finished her fourth screenplay and this book. As a life coach, Libby works with both individuals and groups to help them create balanced, joyful and fulfilled lives for themselves. She has created several workshops including Passion into Action and the You at Your Best series. Libby also facilitates parenting workshops on topics such as discipline and self-esteem and gives talks at schools and parent organizations. Libby is currently working on her second book, Put Your Passion into Action.
