He was recently appointed by the MJ Consulting Group to its Neuroscience Advisory Council and is one of the founding members of the Integrative Neurobiology Educational Institute. Recipient of several teaching awards, Dr. Raison's research focuses on bi-directional relationships between stress and immune systems as these relate to the development of depression. His research ranges from immune system effects on central nervous system functioning to the application of compassion meditation as a strategy to reduce inflammatory responses to psychosocial stress. Dr. Raison is also on the editorial board of Brain, Behavior and Immunity.
