The 7th International Conference on Inverse Problems in Engineering (ICIPE), held at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, USA, on May 4-6, 2011. This is the seventh International Conference on Inverse Problems in Engineering: Theory and Practice (ICIPE) series, initiated in Palm Coast (USA) in 1993. Noteworthy features of all ICIPE meetings are their balanced focus on theory and applications (and, better yet, the combination of both) and strive to provide an atmosphere aimed at maximizing opportunities for interactions between participants. The previous two ICIPE conferences were held in Paris (France) in 2008 and in Cambridge (UK) in July 2005.
