White Magic is a practical handbook of the rituals and practices of seasonal magic, written by a traditional, English hereditary witch. She describes in turn each of the main festivals of the witch's calendar, their meaning and significance, the rituals, celebrations and games, the songs and chants, the symbols and archetypes. At the end of each chapter chants, spells, and blessings appropriate to the time of year are collected together. White Magic is illustrated throughout with photographs of special places and traditional symbols, and pictures of games and activities handed down from mother to daughter through the generations. In additional, each chapter opens with a specially commissioned illustration that uses the symbols and associations of the festival to capture its particular mood and atmosphere. An altogether fascinating insight into this age-old cult and a guide for those who wish to serve and seek the protection of the Goddess and the natural forces of the Earth. Paddy Slade is a hereditary witch, both her parents and grandparents were witches. She has a first class Honors degree in English and Medieval History and is always prepared to share her wisdom and experiences with others. Delores Ashcroft-Nowicki is Director of Studies of the Servants of Light School of Occult Studies in the Channel Islands and is said to be the world's greatest expert on the theory and practice of ritual magic. **Bundle up & Save on Postage**.
