Jane Culter has published fifteen children's books, including the prize-winning The Cello of Mr. O, Darcy and Gran Don't Like Babies, (A Reading Rainbow Book) and My Wartime Summers. Jane has been honored with the PEN award, the Zena Sutherland Award and The Bank Street College of Education Award. The Bulletin for the Center for Children's Books named her a "Rising Star." She received her BA in English from Northwestern University and her MA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. She lives in Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco.
