ABOUT THESELETTERSMany years have gone by since my children were young and the world was full of promises. America, the best country in the world where working persons, using their abilities, a lot of effort and hard work, could participate in the AMERICAN DREAM, creating the lifestyle desired by most people around the world. Now, fifty years later most of the opportunities for working people are fading into the sunset, most new jobs are not for middleclass working Americans. I am writing about the demise of our society in America, that effects every person and will have a profound effect on our children and future generations.These letters are to my ten children and sixteen(now seventeen) grandchildren, telling them how America is changing, and not for the better. Capitalists continue on their path for PROFITS, at any human cost, much like in the days of the 19th century, as told by our great grandparents. Now they have abandoned our workers to support a Communist Country who is NOT a friend of democracy. Politicians distort the truth, tell outright lies and they have betrayed the American people. They have put us(workers) in the path of an economic tsunami that will devastate all of America. Republican disdain for the working men and women of America is now producing the dreaded results of lost jobs, lost pensions and a lost future for ALL OUR CHILDREN. Republicans help their capitalist friends cuddle with COMMUNISTS while this Republican President bombs innocent people in the middle east. This unjust Iraq war has killed and maimed 100's of thousands of people and displaced millions of Iraqi citizens. Are these the values of the Christian Right or any Christians? Do we believe innocent people should be slaughtered because an irresponsible Republican President that controls our military, has made a horrific mistake? IS IT A BIGGER CRIME,A SIN AGAINST HUMANITY,TO PERFORM AN ABORTIONOR TO PUT A GUN TO SOMEONE'S HEAD ANDBLOW HIS BRAINS TO SMITHERE

Our childrens dilemma. Our great American society has been betrayed by politicians, capitalists and ourselves. Politicians promise to do one thing, they do the exact opposite, then proclaim they did a great job. Capitalists are standing with one foot in Communism, the other in Democracy, and Democracy is losing. Who is to blame? Ourselves.

At seventy five years old, this retired electronics engineer, entrepreneur and computer manufacturing manager is sounding a call to all young people(that is anyone under fifty), WAKE UP, before it is too late. The American Dream is slipping away, our children and grandchildren are faced with a dismal future if they do not take action.With over sixty years of life experience, including faint memories of the great depression of the 1930's, watching his father and mother struggle while working 7 days a week to feed their family of seven children, he is warning all young people that they must TAKE BACK the control of our government. Politicians, special interests, corrupt capitalists and our own greed, are destroying the greatest society on earth. The author saw the changes coming and tried to warn his children and all of America's young people of the impending disasters. Building his first home at age 19, taking on the responsibility of raising children at an early age, earning a college degree nights while working full time(cutting stone in a granite quarry) was difficult, among the many obstacles in the road to a better life. After college and working several years in research and development, the author started a company to develop a digital CAT scan display system and spent several years in the medical engineering field.It has been a 60 year journey that has taken him to all areas of our country and to many foreign countries. A 3 year assignment to Communist China during the 1980's to start and run a computer factory, proved to be the start of something not good for America. Writing about conditions of complete devastation of the Chinese people in Communist China is the result of first hand experience. Efforts of thousands of people during the last hundred years, who fought for civil rights, worker's rights and women's rights have been lost because of Republican corruption, but we can now reverse direction with our new President.
