Suddenly life was filled with air raid drills, trains jammed with servicemen, ration books, movie stars in USO canteens, wartime romances,while everyone waited for the war's end so the men could all come home.

Biografía del autor

Edith Duven Flaherty was born in Massachusetts just in time for the Great Depression and came of age just in time for World War II. Now living in Oregon, she has previously published four novels before writing this very personal take on the "Greatest Generation" experience.
