John Howard Weeks is a newspaper columnist for the MediaNews Group, Inc. During his 37-year career in journalism, he also has been a reporter, cartoonist and features editor. Weeks earned a master?s degree in English literature from the University of Birmingham, England. He lives in San Bernardino, CA.William S. Thomas is a former editor and reporter for Gannett Newspapers, the McClatchy newspaper group and The Los Angeles Times. He also was a professor of journalism at California State University, Northridge. Thomas earned a master?s degree in journalism from UCLA. He lives in Santa Barbara, CA.
