The Android Myth is a broadside against the notion that computers can acquire "artificial intelligence" and be able to think as humans do, even perhaps replacing humans one day. Keith Chandler describes himself as an intellectual nomad, moving from subject to subject and pitching his tent wherever there seems to be a philosophical problem that has defied solution by conventional thinkers. However, while the subjects of his published works differ widely, they are united by his fidelity to the fundamental philosophy he calls "Mental Realism."

Biografía del autor

Born St. Louis. Graduated Washington University, 1951, doctoral work at University of Chicago. Specialty: solving reputedly unsolvable philosophical problems. Previous books include Heart of the Rainbow, Beyond Civilization, The Mind Paradigm, and PSI: What it is and How it works.
