Katharine Davis Fishman, author of The Computer Establishment and numerous articles in leading magazines, is a past president of the American society of Journalists and Authors. her article on problem adoptions, which derived from research done for this book and was a cover story in The Atlantic, received the National Media Award for magazine writing from the American Psychological Association.
