This is part of a two-level course written for adults who are looking for a springboard to further learning. It divides language learning into its constituent parts, which are located in three main sections - grammar, vocabulary and skills. These are linked by cross-referencing for easy access. The course gives teachers and students flexibility to use it in whichever way they want: in class or for self-access; to construct tailor-made programmes according to student need; and for courses of different length, such as year-round programmes, 12-week intensive courses or short courses. There is a strong learner development element in the course and an emphasis on analysis of language through problem-solving and discovery techniques. "The Sourcebook" consists of a students' book, workbook, teacher's book and a set of two class cassettes.
