Sinopsis

It is there that Millie and her husband, George, wage their own unspoken, desperate battle. The two novellas are followed by six short stories that deal with deception, dementia, therapy, rage, love, loss — even aliens. One character searches for a father, another for a daughter; one tries to manipulate a lover, another strives to disengage. Although the ages and backgrounds of the characters vary, all have their own private motivations.
