Sinopsis

Carl Cooper is an author of brutal crime novels--"Bludgeoned" and "Machete"--he wishes he had never written. He's lost his way as a writer, he believes. Embarking upon a search to find his roots, and the graves of paternal grandparents whom he never knew, he ventures into an old cemetery behind a country church along the banks of Missouri's Gasconade River.
