Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. Bruce Pennington Ilustrador. 1st Edition. A sharp, well preserved first printing of Clarkes Hugo and Nebula Award winning classic, increasingly scarce in collectible condition. Book, near fine. Dust Jacket, Fine. Book Condition Publishers dark green boards, lettered in gilt to spine. The book is tight, square, and clean, with bright, unfaded cloth and crisp gilt. The text remains clean and bright, with no marks or writing. Two defects noted. 1) On the top edge of the text block where there is some foxing. This does not penetrate to the pages at any point. 2) A small faded initial on the front endpaper. Both defects clearly shown in the final two photographs. A strong, Near Fine example. Dust Jacket Condition The original Gollancz jacket is complete and unclipped, retaining the £2.00 price. No tears, no chips, and no stains. Colours remain vivid, spine unfaded, and overall presentation is Fine. Far better than typically encountered for this title. Of particular note, the yellow text on the spine is completely unfaded. A very nice copy of the true classic. In all my books I advertise with complete transparency. Defects are clearly shown. But please ask if any more detail needed or additional photographs.
