If you have ever had trouble getting young string players to practise their ensemble music, then rest assured that Peter Wilson's arrangements of three well known film melodies will result in students begging to play and practice this music...these absolutely superb arrangements will delight young string players.....Flexible and enthralling, this music will have string players from approximately grade 2 level in music heaven. Stringendo Magazine, April 2010 .....musically inclusive arrangements, where the open string parts, if not integral to the harmonic whole, seem to comment on it, drawing on its rhythmic impetus and phrasing to provide inputs which are musically congruous and make musical sense...That said, the more conventional arrangements...also work well, showing great understanding of the things young players find hard but which don't need labouring over....These arrangements really bring the pianist to the fore - providing musical scaffolding and enabling children to `catch' some sophisticated virtuosic nuances.
