Learning contracts can be valuable tools for winning the commitment of the learner, and ensuring that learners and trainers are working towards the same objectives. This book begins by reviewing the different kinds of contract and looking at the advantages and disadvantages of each. It then goes on to explain what is involved in preparing, negotiating, supporting and evaluating a contract and discusses related issues such as accreditation and the links between learning contracts and the competency-based approach.
