Sinopsis
This package consists of two IBM-PC disks containing the student version of Stata, Version 2.05 and a manual explaining its use. The Student Version can process up to 15 variables and 150 observations. Users can run the program either with menus or command-driven. Stata's graphics give the user more control over appearance; it also includes most of the new graphical techniques for analyzing data. Graphics are fully integrated with the package and are easy to use for data analysis, not just data presentation. The speed of Stata makes it much faster than any of its competitors. Command structure is consistent and therefore more predictable. Stata features logic and robust regression that isn't featured in student versions of other programs. Hardware requirements: Stata is a much smaller program thatn its competitors; it can run on machines with only 256K. A coprocessor is supported but not required. This book should be of interest to statistics students.
