This volume is a collection of articles based on the plenary talks presented at the 2005 meeting in Santander of the Society for the Foundations of Computational Mathematics. Luis Pardo is a Professor at the Universidad de Cantabria, Santander, Spain.
Allan Pinkus holds the Margaret Mosnefelder Harris Chair in Mathematics at the Technicon Israel Institute of Technology.
Endre Süli is a Professor of Numerical Analyis at Oxford University Computing Laboratory and a Fellow of Linacre College.
Mile Todd is a Leon C. Welch Professor at the School of Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, Cornell University.
