"In general, I continue to use this text because of the variety of topics it covers in the readings. The readings seem appropriate for the students at our college, and I teach the main essays in the book: summary, critique, synthesis, and persuasive research essay. I use the "Responding to Visuals" sections also, because I have discovered that students are very interested in analyzing images, and I've had some good results from using them."
