Dr. Forte is an Associate Professor at Salisbury University in the social work department. He has received teaching awards including the President's Award for Outstanding Teaching, Christopher Newport University, 1996 and the Outstanding Virginia Social Work Educator Award in 1994. His areas of interest include social and behavioral theories, social group work, policy advocacy, interactionist social work, public problems, and technology for teaching. He also leads a national group of educators who have been studying the Human Behavior in the Social Environment course and innovative ways to organize and to teach this content.
