Lord Riddell was a newspaper magnate and a confidant of leading statesmen, including Lloyd George. His recollections were published in three volumes in the two years before his death in 1934.For this selection Professor McEwen has returned to the original manuscripts and has included a large proportion of unpublished material, remarkable for the new light it throws on familiar faces and upon the political history of the years between 1908 and 1923.
