Das Symposion hat die Gelehrten von jeher in hohem Grade interessiert, und das ist ia auch der Beachtung und des Studiums so wert, wie irgend ein Erzeugnis des Alte Aber ein wahrhaft philosophisches Interesse erweckt nur die Rede des Sokrates. Mit werden wir uns jetzt beschäftigen, und insbesondere wollen wir uns klar zu machen sucl welcher Art die antiken Anschauungen einer bestimmteren Fassung, tieferen Begründun weiteren Ausführung fähig sind. Sollte einiges, was ich vortragen werde, schon von eine dem in ähnlicher Weise gesagt sein, ohne dafs sein Name genannt wird, so wolle mi nicht mifsdeuten. Es sind mir mehrere Werke, die ich gern durchgesehen hätte, nic gänglich geworden.
