The Teutons thus occupied Cen tral and Eastern Europe. The Latin and Hellenic nations occupied respectively the two great peninsulas of Southern Europe - Italy and Greece. The Slavonians - the last of the Aryan nations to enter Eu rope - overspread the vast steppes of Eastern Europe.
