Excerpt from Outlines of Child Study: A Text Book for Parent-Teacher Associations, Mothers' Clubs, and All Kindred Organizations
During the course of my many lecture trips throughout the country I have had occasion to appear before various organizations which were conducted for the purpose of child study. The interest and enthusiasm in behalf of this praiseworthy work has been manifest on all occasions, but there has appeared everywhere a serious difficulty in obtaining suitable programs for the meetings. The specific purpose of the outlines OF child study is to meet this difficulty and to Offer a complete series of programs with topics and reference, covering every important phase of child life. In the preparation of the text I have aimed especially to serve the interests of the parent-teacher associations, mothers' clubs, and kindred organizations of this general class.
