Excerpt from New Liber Primus: A Practical Companion for the Latin Grammar, and Introduction to the Reading and Writing of Latin; On the Plan of Crosby's Greek Lessons
The parts of the Grammar to be learned, are therefore, as wanted, not copied, but referred to. The verb is taken first; then the other parts of speech and syntax. Les sons in reading, and in translating English into Latin, are introduced fi'om the beginning, so as fully to illustrate the Grammar lessons as the learner proceeds, and make him familiar with their practical use. In this way the whole Gram mar is gone over and reviewed.
