This land, being described in Senate bill 773, and the same land described in Representative Harrison's Lake Front bill in the House, was ceded hythe Indians, August 3, 1795, at the treaty of Greenville. It was not entered as a reservation until 1824, and from August, 1812, to July, 1816, was not a post of any kind, and had no buildings on of the Government, or soldiers or. Agents of the Govern ment in possession; hence, between these last dates the land was vacant and unappropriated, and susceptible of passing in equity under the pre-emption and other land laws out of the United States.
