You will not only exemplify a pure morality and inculcate lessons of sound wisdom, but enforce a patriotism which, while it is untainted by fanaticism, shrinks from no sacrifice which our country demands. The sons of Dartmouth in the camp and on the battlefield will be to you as your own children. Relying on God for aid, you will assuredly win the praise of all, as a Christian, a scholar, a patriot.
