The qrf began to reinforce the Belgians in Kismayo later in May as tensions with the local popula tion increased. LT Koprowski served as battle captain in the bri gade tactical operations center. LT Daniels split his platoon into squads to support a cordon and search of the city. The Kismayo operation lasted two weeks and ended without incident.
