It has bee made available to other groups and individuals with an interest in mountain rescue techniques. However, the following points should be noted. The manual is aimed at personnel who already have a good knowledge of climbing techniques and alpine climbing experience and who are going to be part of a professional rescue team at Mt. Cook. The techniques described in this manual are not the only way of solving mountain rescue situations, but they are the techniques that we have decided to use. The techniques suit our conditions, equipment, and operational requirements [. . .]" - from the Preface. Cover art by Ross Duggan. Nº de ref. del artículo: 19380
