Steven Levy is a Senior Editor at Newsweek, where he writes the biweekly column, ""The Technologist."" One of the most acclaimed and versatile technology writers in the country, his articles, opinion pieces, and reviews have appeared in a wide range of publications, including The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Harper's Premiere, and Wired, and have received numerous awards. Levy has also written six books, including Hackers, which PC Magazine named the best Sci-Tech book written in the last twenty years, and Crytpo, which won the grand eBook prize at the 2001. His most recent book, The Perfect Thing: How the IPOD Shuffles Commerce, Culture, and Coolness will be available in paperback in Fall 2007. He lives in New York City with his wife, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Teresa Carpenter, and their son.
