This is an account of expert systems written specifically for managers, which explains what they are, how they work and how they can be applied. It starts with a description of the component parts of an expert system and goes on to review the stages involved in the development process. The book is not package or machine dependent although it does use examples developed using available packages. The book also includes a listing of available shells, with a list of suppliers, a review of current applications, and a glossary of terms used in AI and expert systems.
