Expanded treatment of periodicity, reaction mechanisms, electronic spectroscopy, bioinorganic chemistry, catalysis and organometallic chemistry is given, along with the inclusion of three types of problems: review, additional challenging exercises and questions from the literature on inorganic chemistry.
