Sinopsis
"Planets Beyond" provides a highly entertaining introduction to the discovery of the outer planets, which began 250 years ago with William Herschel's sighting of Uranus, and programming right up to the planned voyager fly-by of Neptune in 1989. Written in a lighthearted style, but based on recent scientific facts, the author tells the stories of these mysterious bodies, as well as historical and scientific vignettes about the people involved in planetary exploration and study.
