How long would your business survive an interruption? How well are you prepared to deal with a disaster which prevents the normal operation of your compnay? Business continuity deals with the consequences of the business threatening 'what-if' scenario - what if operations are destroyed by fire or flood, negative media drives away customers or the company database is stolen or infected by a virus? Since the first concepts of business continuity management were documented, they have evolved dramatically from disaster recovery strategies for computer departments into enterprise-wide continuity planning. This comprehensive guide shows managers and businesses how to develop a plan to protect their organization from disruption and/or disaster, has contributions from leading pratitioners in the industry and has established itself as an invaluable text for anyone involved in, or looking to gain a detailed appreciation of, the rapidly emerging area of business continuity and disaster recovery within the corporate environment.
