Gunning, Ed.D., is professor emeritus in the Department of Reading at Southern Connecticut State University and adjunct professor at Central Connecticut State University, teaching a variety of courses on literacy. He is the author of more than a dozen books including Reading Comprehension Boosters. Active in the International Reading Association, Gunning serves as a consultant and is a frequent presenter at education conferences.
