Including his best known poem "Hiawatha", this selection of Longfellow's poems spans the whole of his life. Overcoming his grief at the death of his wife, Longfellow wrote some of his most moving and honest poems, including "Palingenesis" and "The Cross of Snow". His later poems draw on his memories of childhood on the northeast coast and include such poems as "The Tide Rises, the Tide Falls".
