His journey begins at the west of the North Island on Mount Egmont/Taranaki, then the volcanoes of the centra NI before crossing to the South Island where the highest and most taxing peaks are found, particularly in the Southern Alps, although his climbs conclude in the rugged Darren Mountains, inland from Milford Sound. In all, ten locations are covered. Each section includes a map of the particular territory, a selection of spectacular photographs, mainly in colour with some b/w, More that 150 photos in total, many full page, several double page. First edition of 1979, 160 pages including glossary, photo credits and index, illustrated throughout. Blue hard covers with gilt spine title VG+, internally excellent, no inscriptions.
