The well researched text quotes diaries and other contemporary writings to bring the era vividly to life. Public and private photograph libraries all over Australia have been tapped to produce the most extensive collection of photos ever put together on the goldfields of Australia. There are about 360 photos, many never published before. They cover the period between the late 1850s and the 1930s. This book is a unique and fascinating account of an important, and hitherto neglected, part of Australian history. Nº de ref. del artículo: 31025
