Sinopsis

Using this interactive workbook in conjunction with a physiology text should enhance Project 2000 nurse students' understanding of physiology, and its importance to nursing. It is published simultaneously with Rutishauser: Physiology and Anatomy, to which it is strongly linked via page references. It can also be used with other physiology textbooks. Its interactive learning style makes the student take an active part in the learning process, using worksheets (giving a short, overall view of a body system), guided studies (a more detailed examination of the body system), and check quizzes with questions built around patient profiles and nursing situations (to assess knowledge gained). Each unit contains a mixture of work sheets, guided studies, check quizzes and suggested reading. It supplements, but does not replace, the role of the nurse teacher in encouraging learning activity and enthusiasm for the increasingly important subject of physiology.
