Reseña del editor

Introduced in 1974, IBM's System Network Architecture, or SNA, has impacted a broad segment of the computer industry. There are an estimated 50,000 SNA networks world wide. This overview of SNA networks provides background and then describes peer-oriented networking extensions, preparing the reader for a detailed description of each of the seven layers of the SNA protocol stack. Useful for commercial applications and as background material for developers of Local Area Networks. Appendices describe SNA data structures and IBM SNA publications.
