Excerpt from Summary of Relief and Federal Work Program Statistics, 1933-1940
This analysis was made under the direction of Emerson Ross, former Director, and Malcolm B. Catlin, present Director of the Division of Statistics and of Howard B. Myers, Director of the Division of Research Of the Work Projects Administration. The report was pre pared by Theodore E. Whiting Of the Division of Statistics and T. J. Woofter, Jr., of the Division of Research. Eulalia Wall of the Division of Statistics assisted in the preparation of the report and in the development Of the unduplicated estimates. Franklin Aaronson of the Division of Research also contributed to the development of the estimates. Valuable advice concerning a number of technical prob lems was obtained from the Joint Committee on Relief Statistics of the American Public Welfare Association and the American Statistical Association.
