This book has been written to provide an integrated teaching tool for Legal Method, English Legal System and Introduction to Law courses. Legal Method stimulates interest in the study of law, and introduces students to a range of different ways of thinking about it. The book provides a sourcebook of materials and commentary, along with questions suitable for tutorials and essays, covering both the core doctrinal material, as well as theoretical and empirical perspectives. Case extracts and secondary readings from the "traditional" legal paradigm are used as well as materials drawn from a range of sources including: * Feminist theory * Political theory *Critical legal studies *American legal realism *Sociology and anthropology Implications of the E.U. for legal method are covered and the book includes chapters on comparative law and legal method and constitutional aspects of legal method.
