The original printed editions of "Hamlet", each distinctly different from the others, are the First Quarto (1603), the Second Quarto (1604), and the First Folio (1623). Modern editions of the play are based either on the Second Quarto or in the First Folio - each with substantial borrowing from the other, and with a few details from the short First Quarto. This volume provides a line-by-line reprint of all three original editions in a parallel-text-form - conveniently arranged for direct comparison.
