This edition includes more than 200 newly identified syndromes and provides updated information and bibliographic references on syndromes covered in the previous edition. Coverage of each syndrome begins with the patient's complaint and then follows this basic pattern: synonyms; symptoms and signs; etiology; pathology; diagnostic procedures; therapy; prognosis; and, bibliographic references. The entries in this unique reference are drawn from widely scattered data in numerous medical periodicals and textbooks. This book contains newly reported syndromes and a few seen only in highly specialized textbooks. A cross-referenced index of the numerous synonyms for each syndrome is provided.
